Projects:

Wood Photo Blocks: $5 each or 3 for $12 (These are 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" blocks with a routed edge. The only thing you will need to bring is your photos, The photos are approximately 3x5". If you have specific paper or ribbon or letter stickers that you want to use, please bring them. I have a pretty good variety, but you never know. These make great Mother's Day gifts!!!) Valentine's Wood Craft Workshop

Christmas Wood Craft Workshops

I just finished up the Thanksgiving Crafts and wanted to get started on the Christmas crafts before life gets too busy and crazy.

Wreath- $25 (just in case you didn't get to make one last month. makes a great christmas gift. Can be personalized with last name.) Elf- $18 (He can be a yard stake or will look great sitting on a shelf... I just make a base for him and a smaller sign) Nativity- $17 Angels- $10 (if you need the stands, I've raised the price to $5 for 3 stands)

Thanksgiving Wood Craft Workshops

I can't believe October is half way over... where has this month gone?

Craft Projects this month.....

Square Wreath: $25. I am so excited about this wreath. I hunted all over trying to find these square wreaths... they are very hard to find. This wreath will make a perfect Christmas gift... get your gifts taken care of early!!! We will cut your vinyl out when you come to the class. You can personalize it with your last name or have it just say welcome. It would look great on the door or on a wreath hanger or hanging in your home. I think I'm making a few for Christmas gifts!!! I will have Black, White, Brown and Cream Vinyl. I have quite a few different paint colors, but if you have something specific you want, bring it. I will also have a few colors of ribbon. Turkey Trio: $8 (sorry I had to up the price a little, but these little guys have the bead board. If you still need the stands they are $3) Thanksgiving Yard Stake: $18 This trio is such a great decoration for Thanksgiving. For those of you who don't do the yard stakes, this will be perfect sitting on a shelf. I will make the sign a little smaller and make a base to put the trio on. It's about 12" tall by 18" wide. Dates: Tuesday, Oct. 20th 6-9 pm Wednesday, Oct. 21st 1-3 pm (I have added a day time class. Please don't bring children unless arranged with me. It will be hard enough with my own kids there, but if we don't have too many kids, I can do it.) Thursday, Oct. 22nd 6-9 pm Wed. Oct. 28th 6-9 pm Just as a reminder, this is how craft class works. I supply all of the wood, paint, brushes, etc. You come and paint your own craft and go home with a finished product. All you need to bring is your money and an apron if you would like:) Please let me know what you would like to make by this FRIDAY... Oct. 16th if at all possible.

I'm feeling ambitious and I've got my crafts already to go for Halloween!!! I hope you like what I came up with this time.

Mummy Yard Stake- $18 (this would also be cute just sitting on a shelf. Let me know if you'd like to do that and I could cut a base to put him on).

Vampire- $15 (if you're not a Twilight fan:), you could put different text on it like trick or treat or happy halloween)

Ghost Trio- $6 for all 3... if you still need stands they are $3 for all 3.

*** If you haven't been to my classes before, here's how it works. First, I live in South Jordan, Utah and the classes are taught in my home. I provide the wood and all the supplies. You come one of the nights and make your craft. You don't need to be there exactly at 6:00... most of the crafts go pretty quickly. If you are not able to make any of the dates, I am pretty flexible and could have you come some other time or you're welcome to do the crafts on your own at home. I also custom cut wood, so if you have anything you need cut, just let me know. I am willing to ship the wood, so please email me if you're interested.

Do you want to come and craft with me???

Do you live in the Salt Lake Valley, if so, I have decided to start doing craft workshops in my home. Each month I will be creating a different craft project. I will cut out the wood and have all of the supplies and you can come to my home and create your craft!. Doesn't that sound fun? I don't know about you, but I have been seeing a lot of bees around this summer and I thought this little guy was darling! He looks so cute on his little yard stick in my front yard. Or, if you'd like, I could cut him out a little smaller (without the sign) and you could put wire through him and hang him on your front door or a wall. If you would like to join me, here is the info....

Wood Craft Classes

Hello everyone! This month I thought it would be fun to do blocks. You can do your kids’ names, sayings you like, or whatever! This month is special, because you can bring your kids with you if they would like to paint their own. Please only bring those who will sit and do their project of course… as we don’t want things to get too crazy! I have a gazillion colors of paint to choose from, so if you are trying to match décor, maybe bring an item with you to match. The cost is 50 cents per block. Class dates this month are: Wednesday, April 15th 6 pm – 9 pm Thursday, April 16th 6 pm – 9 pm Saturday, April 18th 9 am – 12 pm Saturday, April 25th 9 am - 12 pm Tuesday, April 28th 6 pm - 9 pm Let me know how many blocks you will need when you sign up! Organize.Plan.Create.

January. The time of organization and goals. Crafting and scrapbooking supplies can always use some good organization (at least my supplies could!) and even an occasional sprinkle of inspiration. Let me introduce you to Marlene and Missy of Organize.Plan.Create. (OPC for short.) These two very talented women have collaborated to bring you a website dedicated to helping the world organize their scrapbooking supplies and photos (both digital and hard copies), getting a plan in place and putting those memories on paper and into albums. Each week they have weekly challenges to help you with what kinds of layouts to do, journaling and ideas for new themes to try. They also use their site to showcase some of their work. The main objective of OPC however, is to help free us all from that being overwhelmed when it comes to documenting our family and personal stories. It's a great site with lots of promise and an e-book soon to come! Marlene and Missy also sponsor Get Down With Scrapbooking an annual scrapbooking event to support the Utah Down Syndrome Foundation. We've just come back from a lovely weekend of scrapbooking, great food and AMAZING prizes and free stuff. More to come on this tomorrow!

answering craft class questions

I'm sure my friend Shannon would love to have more people attend her classes. She does the class a month ahead. For instance, last night I made my snowman wreath for January. She is done with classes for December, so her next classes will be at the beginning of January and they will be Valentine crafts. She does a wreath every month and two other crafts. Usually one of the crafts is a hanging set of letters. The wreaths are $20 and the other crafts are usually a little less than that. All you need to take with you is your money.
